SUMMARY:Zero Carbon Scotland: what must we do? and how quickly can we do it
  justly?
DESCRIPTION:The IPCC report on global warming of 1.5⁰C focussed attenti
 on on the need for urgent\, radical action on climate change.\n\nTo persu
 asively demand urgent action for a zero carbon Scotland\, it’s important
  that we have some credible and just ideas in response to the question “
 how can we do that then?” This event will consider these issues.\n\n 	Wh
 at policies and societal changes are needed for net zero emissions in Scot
 land?\n 	How close are we to having all the technologies\, expertise and s
 killed workers necessary to decarbonise industry\, power generation\, home
  energy use\, transport and agriculture?\n 	How quickly can we make  a ju
 st transition from a high emitting to a zero carbon country?\n\nThis is a 
 FREE\, public event organised by Dr Rachel Howell\, Lecturer in Sustainabl
 e Development at the University of Edinburgh. All are welcome\, whether or
